Mayan Roots

Mayan Black Salt is a special ingredient, as it is still considered sacred by the Maya. It was one of the early commodities of the ancient Maya, as it was harvested along riverbeds and transported to other communities. This salt is collected using centuries-old methods passed down through families in the highlands of Guatemala. It is a rigorous and ancient process, only practiced by few now. It is used in our soaps to give a nice, foamy lather and gentle exfoliant. It is combined in this soap with eucalyptus which the Mayans used in their temazcals (a type of sauna) to help clear the air and breathing.

FAQ

How do I store it for best results?
Store in cool dry place when un-opened. Once in use, keep it on a soap dish or surface that allows the water to drain. As it is a natural, plant-based product, if it sits in water for too long, it will start to dissolve.

Ingredients

Saponified oils of cocos nucifera (coconut) oil, olea europaea (olive) fruit oil; sodium chloride (mayan black salt), lavandula angustifolia (lavender) flower oil, eucalyptus globulus leaf oil, rosmarinus officinalis (rosemary) leaf oil.

How To Use
