PROPERTIES

Aloe vera works as a humectant, aka something that helps retain moisture, in both skin and hair care. Working its moisturizing magic, it adds strength and luster to hair and promotes growth. Aloe Vera is easily absorbed by skin and is a great addition to sensitive skin formulas or for treating burns and scrapes as it reduces redness and inflammation, and as a bonus has anti-fungal properties.

 

HISTORY

Aloe Vera is a succulent used as an ornamental and medicinal plant. It has been used in many cultures for internal issues such as relieving constipation.

We are lucky in Guatemala, this plant grows pretty much in every garden, forest and mountain so we get ours right from our garden.
